A ‘celebration of local talent’ as TownSq Kingston transforms into a contemporary art space

December 9, 2024

TownSq Kingston will transform itself into a temporary, contemporary art space this weekend in a partnership that will showcase local talent at the vibrant workspace.

The exhibition titled, ‘Midwinter Colour’, brings together a group of internationally exhibited artists in Photographer Paul Mowatt, the curator of the legendary Putney Pies exhibition space, and Artist, Zoe Dorelli, co-founder of Dark Matter Studio a fine art printmaker.

The exhibit will be available on:

  • Private View - Wednesday 4th December 7 - 9pm

  • Weekend Previews: 14th & 15th December 11 - 5pm

  • By Appointment - 4th December - 30th January

Hub Manager, Ryan Gough said the partnership would connect the community with local talent in an inspiring way. Ryan said: “The partnership came about as we were searching for a way to make the walls of our coworking space match the vibrancy of our members. Kingston has a fantastic artistic and creative community, and so we felt it was a natural collaboration to reach out and bring some of that colour to our space.

“We’ll be holding tours and viewings of the art, and of course - they will be available for all our members and coworkers to enjoy over the Christmas period!”

For more information or to attend a viewing, you can contact Ryan at ryan@townsq.co.uk or head down to the space under John Lewis overlooking the Thames - 3 Bucklands Wharf, Thameside.
